Garment Care for School Uniforms

To keep school uniforms looking smart and lasting longer, it’s important to care for each item properly. Blazers and trousers should be washed on a gentle cycle or dry cleaned when necessary to maintain their shape and colour. Always check the care label first, and avoid high-heat drying to prevent shrinkage and fabric damage. Shirts and blouses can typically be machine washed at 30–40°C; to keep them crisp and bright, hang them to dry and iron while slightly damp.

Sportswear is designed to withstand active use but still benefits from proper care. Wash these items inside out, ideally on a cold cycle, to preserve stretch and colour, and avoid using fabric softeners which can reduce breathability. Skirts should be treated similarly to trousers—wash on a gentle cycle and avoid wringing or tumble drying.
